The Coqueran Design Studio is more of a task force than your regular 'run of the mill' design studio. Design is our main function, we believe that everything has the right to look good, but our team is very diverse, and very skilled. We do not limit our staff resources to designers, our programmers and application developers play a very integral part in our day to day. Without them out pretty pictures will remain pretty pictures. So allow us to give you a better idea of who we are and what we do.

The Coqueran Design Studio was conceived in 2004 by Jean-Pierre Coqueran (Jay) from what he believes to be a natural progression. CDS was built on the common idea that there is power in numbers and with that power great ideas can be born and great things can be made. When it is said that CDS is a task force, that statement couldn't be more accurate. CDS is not about a building on a corner, an office space in that building or a meeting room in that office. CDS is a global entity. The majority of our staff and resources are local to our home office in Charlotte, NC but the extent of our network is by no means limited to that area..

The Coqueran Design Studio is able to accomplish numerous tasks in almost every area of design because of the strategic alliances that we have with other outstanding individuals and organizations. ‘Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians?’, that is the antithesis of the concept that we were founded upon. There are many talented individuals in the world that can do very amazing things, but just because they can, does not mean that they will. You can say that it is outsourcing, but we do not, outsourcing leaves too large of a gap for the sake of accountability. We do not work with every Tom, Dick and Harry on the block, we only align ourselves with the individuals that have a proven record of success and businesses that have the same goals and values that we have. CDS at one point was a small company, very small, one man actually. Mr. Coqueran went out with the belief that ‘One Man Can’, he was half right. One man can, as long as he doesn't go at it alone. After building his business to what it is today, he reflected and learned that he did not go at it alone after all. He was aided along the way by people much like himself, that were driven to succeed and to grow. The alliances and partnerships that he has developed along the way is what the CDS is about, as one grows, we all grow.
